A brief history

Control Room and AV Solutions (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2016 by Yusuf R Shaik, a Barco certified engineer with over 20 years of international experience in the audiovisual, digital cinema & control rooms fields.

Yusuf's passion for technology, extensive field experience, integrity and obsession with customer service proved to be the winning combination that led to the comapny's rapid growth, and earned it recognition among its peers.

From humble beginnings, Control Room and AV Solutions has become synonymous with service excellence, and boasts successful local and international projects, and a client base that includes multi-national corporates and governments.

Website Development

Control Room and AV Solutions launched its website division in 2018 with the sole purpose of assisting entrepreneurs and home-based industries to gain an internet presence whilst providing employment opportunities and work experience for budding web developers.

The professional website development service is offered to entrepreneurs as a package consisting of a 3 page basic website that includes a Google map and contact form, built-in SEO, and assistance in setting up low cost hosting accounts, and other marketing hacks, all for an extremely low, below-market rate.

The company also involves itself in supporting local SMMEs and is passionate about entrepreneurship.

100% Black owned and managed

Control Room and AV Solutions is a 100% Black owned and managed company with a diverse and professional workforce. The company was founded and is actively managed by it's sole director, Yusuf R Shaik who believes in, and actively promotes skills development as part of the company's policies.

BEE, which stands for "Black Economic Empowerment" legislation in South Africa, was enacted to actively promote economic participation and advancement of Black people in the South African economy, aiming to address historical inequalities created by apartheid.

Our BEE certification is available on request and we are open to doing business with corporates looking to improve their BEE score.
